Constructed out of oil base clay it never made it out of the clay stage. I used a sulfur clay and had bad reactions with the armature. The sulfur clays made the steel weep and oil substance. I used galvanized wire for the fingers which caused all the fingers to crack and open up leaving a chalky substance in the center around the wire. Copper wire caused a black dust to form. This was one of my first sculptures back in 2002-2003. I learned that sulfur based clay was terrible to work with unless you use only aluminum or plastic coated wire. Later on I ended up switching to a chavant. This piece was approx. 18-20" high and 10 to 12" wide.
